Never

mtrotter1

For is it all so easy to love again

When all you hear is bad news?

Do you have the guts to kill yourself?

Or do you have the guts to live for glory?

In depth I do surrender

To both notions

And I am quiet within my resentment,

My resentment for love

And tomorrow shall be the day of bad news

Have mercy on my soul!

And I shall be a pretty rose for my garden,

A garden so pure

Don't you know that I am only human

And that I want the best for humanity?

For humanity is as good as it's going to get;

Never will I strain a wall

With painted pictures

Never will I wear false gold

In my youth

Never will I skin a cat

If I meant it

Never will my heart sing

To a tune

But with all my might

I will carry my heart with me

Never will I go searching

For love.
