When we laid you to rest that emotional day,
that respectful priest had more words to say.
Each attendee in your grave, gave you a rose.
One of each color for you of course I chose.
The clothes everyone donned for you,
celebrated your life like you wanted them to.
Not loud nor dull, but rather slightly bright.
My love it was a wonderful and amazing sight.
Feelings were of course on the sad side.
We were there because love, you had died.
Darkened clouds in the sky above remained.
Throughout the service it lightly rained.
As your casket was lowered at its slow pace,
I focused on the image of your beautiful face.
Everyone gave their sorrow as they left your site.
Me, I stayed there throughout the night.

touching poem....
Sad and even heart rending this poem shows devotion and love of one lost. Nicely written
