When Evil Knocks (Anti-establishment)

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Shall fear no man or dark spirit,
When evil knocks, I'll fight all of it.
Shake off the energy vampires,
Ignore me then, I'm strong as pliers,
Dealing with the walking dead,
I live wire, don't care what you said,
Let negativity just roll over my head.
Have no dragon or snake scales,
No spider legs or dirty rat tails,
See why so much of humanity fails.
Always giving my head a slow shake,
Sometimes walk around the local lake,
Pray every morning, my souls at stake.
Forever feeling set apart and different,
Is Earth some form of imprisonment?
The anger inside leads me to repent,
Calm down, be civil but please do vent,
Opinions mostly conclude in disagreement,
Corruption at the top cause the system bent,
Mind is stuck on this view of anti-establishment,
Third eye is not blind, it's just called discernment.

I hear the anger and resentment in this poem that cries out against the machine. Nicely done

Shaun, what if we were enclosed in bodies of limitation in order to awaken imagination?

    • Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Sounds plausible. Dreams mean more than we are told I think for example.
