Tune: Southwell
('Lord Jesus, think on me')
Based on a Collect - a Formal Prayer.
***********
The Lord bless, watch o'er you
His face shine on you true
And He too be to you gracious
Look kindly now on us
The Lord His peace you give
Through Him you now shall live
His graces be to you always
Through endless nights and days
The blessing of the Lord
God, the Almighty Word
The Father, Son, and Spirit too
Remain e'er among you

That is wonderfully short and direct, orchi with wishes even a heathen like me can understand. Bought to mind my Sunday School years when I wore short very baggy trousers, with scabby knees, carried my attendance card, more valuable than a passport, in order to receive a colourful attendance stamp.
Thanks Dave. Me being short? I usually waffle on, in NS mode! lol.
thank you for your authors note .. I just learnt summat .. 👍
Thanks N. Eeek! It was in a series of Funeral Prayers.
Thanks for the blessing Orchi Loved this piece (peace)
Thanks SB. Someone spelt it \'peice\' for 'piece'. Eh?!
Artistic license of poor speller or maybe careless
