Do you see the flames:
Of the light of rebirth-
revolution and repentance?
Through the hour of turmoil to the hour of bread and wine!
Washing the feet of the unnoticed
Kissing the hearts of the unwanted
Carrying the seeds of devotion
A shower of Joy
Yes, Joy from Eden to the lands of wonder
Near- within- behind: counting the steps of love
At each step of tempest: of rain, hail and storm
Chopping the outlines and crafting
The sculpture of Awe: too soon to know
The golden chain of shade
The name for each smile and bloom,
The heart soothing verse,
the playing harp,
from the tunes of David till the carriage of Revelation!
In his hands as a flock of sheep
There do hold safe nights- deep
with lullabies from the Word:
And the day very soon to Hear,
near and nearer than before…
