Lamentations

IZZU

I am beset on all sides

I came forth to the cleansing light of the Sun

Lo and behold it smote me most harshly.

Where now art my cunning?

Where now art my musing?

I heeded them not

Therefore I was cast down

Beleaguered and shown to the proud world

All gazed at me and judged me with their unknowning eyes.

Indeed I desired to be other than I was

I was naked as was the fool king in his invisible cloak.

Light sprang from the bowels of Tenebris

It's essence merely an illumination.

Am I reborn?

Am I reformed?

Nah! for I am and always will be

The beginning and the end

The within and the without

The everywhere and everywhen

When it comes to be or Not to be, I am

I shall look up on those times and curse them

Let not light shine before thee

You are one with the deep Stygian

Umbral

I shall endure for all eternity

Aye!

The Wamphyri Lords of the olden Starside

They had the truth of it

Anonymity is synonymous with Longevity

Some recognizable similarities to past texts and old style indeed. A fun read.
