Timing Is Everything

mtrotter1

And time...what a wonderful way to spend the day

Alas, will you ever love me again?

Do you really see my heart for what it is?

Take down your walls and uncover your truths

For the truth will set you free in the end

And borrowed time is just borrowed time

And an empty soul is willing

Will we ever get married again in our minds,

Or will we falter once again?

For my doubts are evil, I suspect

For no truth is good without evil honesty

And they say divine timing is best

Why can't we just sit down and talk this through

Without interruptions and without sound?

Maybe we can understand

Why we've been angry with each other for so long

For the past is the past

And the past no longer serves us

You and I are on much higher ground now

I don't want to avoid these incidents anymore

I want to face them with integrity

No one knows how long I've struggled

And no one knows the bitter truth

For I have knocked down many castles made of sand

And I have yelled at the moon

Can we get back on solid ground

As our feet touch the earth?

Will the earth see us as a sign of weakness?

For all the lonely people must understand

That love is not to be ignored

I guess I am a pansy after all

But at least I admit it.
