NZUZU ON THE STREETS

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

The media have taken over
And soon it will be over
End time Madness
Indeed, it breeds sadness.

Nudity is now free
Without shame, it flies free
Our mothers were modest
Their dressings decently modest.

Our generation is mad
Nzuzu runs in her pad
It seems she is morally rude
Why advertise her nude?

This, a public photograph
Without recourse to it telegraph
Have we lost our sanity?
End time, all is vanity.

  • Comment from author about the poem: This poem reflects on morality and modesty in dressing in our contemporary society in Africa. People dress indecently to post on social media to attract likes and comments, which is go against morality. This is a show of shame to both gender who exposes their naked bodies or share their nudity for money. We must learn to build a healthy society for us and our children and unborn children.
