the light

NinjaGirl

and I watched

the light in her eyes

fade away

I blinked a tear

it fell on my screen

I just want her back

I could have helped

if only I'd noticed the light disappear

Another excellent write NinjaGirl! I'm a fan! You captured such raw emotions and guilt in such few words. A true gift!

The tear of regret, the sadness of never being able to go back. Beautifully crafted in this poem!
