Hooli

And when it’s gone again

I know that late summer morning

Ill be giving up my freedom in mourning

And when its gone again

I attach my mind to my love in hopes of motivation

But it leaves my health up to interpretation

And when it’s gone again

I sacrifice my time for the things I don’t need to know

All so that one day I get to go

And when it’s gone again

I leave my stress painted on my demeanor

While I try to be a dreamer

And when it’s gone again

I seek refuge in the away

Where I don’t have to slave to my responsibility

And when it’s gone again

Maybe I am too

  • Comment from author about the poem: This is just kind of a message about how you have to confine to what you’re told is good for you, to what you have to do, because of being told of how patience is important and one day you won’t have to deal with it anymore. But to showcase that sometimes ‘dealing’ with it, is forcing you to give up what you want and end up losing a part of yourself from it. In this case- school.
