Undergrown in Overgrowth

RefugeInRain

Under overgrowth,

where leaves paint the sky.

Wind blows through dark green.

Some water drips, from up high.

The smell of earth, fresh after rain.

Birds sing their songs,

as setting sun, glares through trees.

I seem to find myself,

while under natures wing.

When I feel my heartbeat,

It's as steady as the breeze.

I find you, in these moments, though brief.

I'm undergrown in overgrowth.

I'll learn from your art,

and from your art,

I'll continue to grow.
