Tell me, why are you so devoted to your pain?
I fear the quiet that peace brings,
the abyss where your voice is louder than my own,
a place where I lose myself, drowning in echoes.
So, I find solace in the familiar chaos pain offers.
Why don’t you want to listen to me?
your words, they gnaw at my sanity,
laden with such disdain,
each syllable a reminder of the anguish I hold deep,
stripping me of most that I am,
leaving me barren,
that there could be even more… perhaps I am not capable of more…
And yet is that not what you are?
Am I not molded from the fragments you despise?
From the very same chaos that you find solace in?
Aren’t I a reflection of your inner most desires?
Aren’t I you?**
Then if you are me, then what Im I truly?
A mirror of your fears, A reflection of your truest thoughts
In every quiet tear, In your most painful moments,
I exist because you allow it,**
Because we are one and the same.
So tell me, if u were to listen, what would u hear?
A truth too painful to bear?
Or a silence that could finally set us free?

A soliloquy that many of us have had well expressed. Poignant and highly philosophical. Nicely done
a most impressive write that took me in from the very first line.
very impressed.
Excellent write
