Can You Feel Me?

Mason Vollman

An ocean at its finest,
A roller coaster of emotions,
I'm feeling motion sickness,
My pace is losing its quickness.

Life is hard,
Not much more to say.
I've wondered so far,
And I've lost my way.
I need help,
But no one cares,
Can you feel me?
Or is this feeling rare?

My hearts half cyborg,
My hearts half stone,
My hearts half black,
My hearts half cold.
To much slack,
They no longer hold the rope,
I've been stabbed in the back,
I can no longer cope.
Can you feel me?
Is there any hope?
I've been blinded in both eyes,
I can't see!
First eye, second eye, now it's been three.
Can you feel me?
I wanna be free!
Like the clouds and the trees,
The crickets and the bees,
The land and the seas.
I wanna see help in the helpless,
Hope in the impossible,
Faith in the inevitable,
I wanna be me!
And people accept me for who I may be.
Because I can't always see,
I'm not always found,
Can you feel me?
Or are you blinded by sound,
Like the rest of humanity,
Clueless through vanity,
Always the same schedule,
Just do what they tell you to.

Isn't it sad?
Isn't it bad?
Isn't it mad?
People getting used to abuse because it's all they've ever had?
Can you feel me?
Can you understand what I'm saying?
Can you see through me?
Or is deception fogging your brain?
Is it possible? To love everybody the same?
Is there the littlest bit of real, in those who are fake?
These questions are driving me insane,
But ain't nobody feel me.

Everybody's been, reaped by the reaper,
There all sheep following there shepherd,
The same spots on every leopard.
It's gonna be like this forever,
Unless we all band together.
Can you feel me?
Will you endeavour to see me?
Do you value equality?
Do you feel me?
Will you push past to see me?
Do you want to be with me?
Or are you faking it?
Fogging my thoughts so my brain mistakens it.
You pulled out the rug,
And made me slip,
Now I'm in a pit of abyss.

Can you feel me?
Do you understand what I'm saying?
Can you see through me?
Or is deception fogging your brain.
Can you feel me?

    It ain`t gonna last forever
    This gloomy weather
    In the dying embers
    Of the iron age
