Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.
I will surely get back to you when I come online.
Today marks the genesis
of lenten season,
Ash Wednesday;
Lent, 40 days season
Sundays exclusive.
Marked by repentance,
Fasting, reflection,
and untimely celebration.
These days
represent Christ's
time of temptation,
In the wilderness.
Indeed, He fasted,
Ekwensu visited,
To lure Him
to fleshy desires.
Ekwensu tried to thwart
the vision,
The vision of redemption;
Redeeming sinners to saints.
This season,
Calls for sober reflection
Calling on humanity,
To repent.
Indeed ashes we are
and unto ashes
All will return,
Why smiling in sins?
Catholics today,
Rejoice mournfully
Setting aside Season
of reflection.
Dust we are
and unto dust
Bodies shall return;
Resurrection,
Our hope in Christ.

Each day should be a day of repentance and reflection. Very nice
