Stepped in a puddle
The notions that came were subtle,
how deeps that upcoming puddle?
Do I run and jump to test its depths?
Is it worth my sped-up steps?
Subtle thoughts about the notion,
is it as deep as the Atlantic Ocean?
As deep as a mountain stream?
Do I go under pop up and scream?
Standing in it will I slowly or quickly sink?
Is it deep enough to scoop up a drink?
As quick as these notions came, they went,
my step in it made a waveless dent.

A fun read on the surface. Deeper meaning is reflected and in its depths is a metaphor for life in general. I love the ending for many times we fear what is not to be feared and don't make the waves we thought they would. Loved it
