Heart x Head

Miranda

We should try to make them smile

Why bother?

People deserve to be happy

It isn't your responsibility

I just want to spread love

You'll only get hurt

What makes you sure?

Experience

But-

They will break you, and you will suffer picking up yourself.

It's worth it

Oh really?

Yes, maybe they need to break others so they can heal

You are making no sense

I don't have to

I am trying to protect you

You are just trying to do your job?

Exactly

Then allow me explore mine

Being there for them won't change anything

What makes you sure?

Experience

Well I don't believe you

Alright, go on and see what happens.

I will

Back so soon?

I felt it

Felt what?

I felt everything

The way they turn off from the world when they are sad,

The amount of pressure they apply just to not let out a scream when they are in pain,

The fear of abandonment, oh they fear to be lonely.

And how did it feel?

It hurt

Really??

But I don't regret it

Why not?

You said they will break me

Indeed

But they didn't. They are the broken ones, they are sad and miserable. They just don't know how to get back up so they break others just so they don't have to be alone.

Is that what you think?

Yes, I felt it

They deceived you.

No, they didn't.

Oh yes, they made you pity them, they made you carry a burden you didn't create. They intentionally made it hurt you.

But I saw beyond their facade.

What makes you sure?

Because my presence was unknown to them and I saw the truth.

Beautifully stated and could be between the compassionate and the uncompassionate.
