THREAD AND NEEDLE

Qurrat Al Ain

Notice of absence from Qurrat Al Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.

If everything in this world,

Is falling apart mercilessly,

I will use the thread and needle,

In my bleeding, trembling hands,

Sewing the pieces together for you.

Do not be sad,

We'll watch every sunset and sunrise together,

We'll face the ocean and fall into it together,

Till we seize to exist.

I sigh,

Wondering when the right time will come,

When you will come,

Pulled away from my reverie.

I like the first stanza. Let's work to mend this broken world. We can do it through poetry. I won't be sad because I know there's hope. Thank you for your poem.

Thank you for sharing your interpretations. It always amazes me, every time I realize there could be multiple doors of entry to the hall of art.
