Ten Small Poems 2
This world would be a wonderful place
if it were not for people.
We wish, we dream, we smile
as we write.
The solution to a minor problem
can end up being a major one.
Loneliness is what happens
when you refuse to love.
A river starts at altitude
and ends at sea level.
Along the way, it has
altered the landscape forever
and proven the Law of Gravity…..
Not bad, for some melted snow.
As we pass through life
we meet many strangers
but as we near life’s end
we face the mirror and realize
that we are the stranger.
A work of art is just that…
Work.
It is our imperfection
that gives life meaning.
If we were perfect
temptation would not exist.
There is more bliss in a kiss
than there is smart in a broken heart.
A hawk circling high above
falls, not out of love.

Wonderful wonderful your last one is so full of imagery and metaphor, love them all Phil, I couldn't agree more 🌹
Yes I liked that one too, simple and poignant.
My own now if you allow ......
Love can be everything
It can also be nothing. 💙
I would have said, "Love is everything until it is nothing."
Yeh you got it
Amazing
Thank you, Tony
You're welcome
This flow of consciouoness is so flawless, and each little poem a work of wisdom. Beautiful dear poet!
Thank you, Bella. What wonderful comment. It's rewarding to know that my poetry reaches people.
Bite sized prompts to much (I was going to write 'deep', but of that I'm unsure) thought, each one. Thanks for that, Phil.
Thank you, DD. Whatever you do, don't feed them to your dog. Is the pic real?
I see no dog.......
I knew that was you. I think it was the ears, or was it the one eye, or maybe the tongue. Just thought I'd ask.
Yep - found on line, my doppelganger. Lips moistened ready for a chat............... one eye closed for better aim....
