A man in my past

Neilton

Are you the man of my dreams ?

Making me laugh till I can't breathe

Your seraphic face

Drives me insane

Your hands around my waist

A smile and a caress

And in the twinkling of an eye

I forget your lies

I forget the pain you caused

As I was too much for you

I'm sure

But oh my ! Our life up there

It looks like a glare

You reminisce when in despair

When you made me feel special

Picked my heart like you cared

Dressed me in unknown colours

And erratic layers

I opened my heart to a stranger

I thought I knew for a second

But then I was left

Alone and Paralyzed from the neck

How did I not see earlier

That you used me

And put me in a cage

Unable to escape

Because of your narcissism

I was told you were a suitable suitor

From the girl who was cuter

I actually felt I knew you

And in the twinkling of an eye

As absurd as it sounds

My heartbeat was unfathomably loud

The beat was as if my whole world

Has been exploded once again

Falling in something called Love

 With your soft touch

Like a wayward gale

Destroying everything on her way

I scratch your hair

As we tightly embrace

Pretending I'm the one you chase

Pretending you search my face

 In every crowded place

You should have warned

Her fragile heart

Can't bear grey rats

That bite in the dark

Can't bear moles

And anything that breaks her soul

The little girl never have thought

Every interaction would cause wars

That would drive her mad

Would lock her in asylums

Unknown to man

So I call you just a man

Although I question that

I believe you are in the past

Hidden in the longest summer nights

Laying under the silvery moon

Memories that we'll forget soon

Looking at the gleaming stars

Almost as beautiful as you are

Laughing and having fun

A dream that lasted 14 days

Sometimes I wish you were the man of my fate

Being taken advantage of and discarded is a very painful thing. This poem appears to be an opening of the heart nicely written.

Thank you so much ! It was truly a very painful experience but I'm trying to put it behind me now.

You convey the pain here. So unpleasant to feel that you have been played. We do grow stronger where we break, although you might not appreciate that yet. Narcissism, yuk. A clean break is always best. They never change. A good read.

Thoughts racing, whirling. This guy embarrasses me, not a gentleman. Nice work.
