The devil is deemed an outlaw
tainted with unthinkable atrocity,
fueled by insatiable, blazing desire.
Sin is his way of life,
pleasure the reason for his sly smile.
The angel dares to escape the holy arcadia,
her wings gracefully leaving behind the ephemeral divine
in a forbidden pursuit of true love.
Sacred instinct guides her
for they have never faltered.
A cosmic performance unfolds:
The devil longs for an angelic embrace.
The angel longs for a devilish sensuality.
The evil and the good seamlessly merge.
They thrive in imperfect perfection.
On the precipice of morality,
the evil and the good are separated,
the morally grey rendered homeless.
A dilemma befalls on the bridge between both worlds.
The plank creaks, the foundation quivers, the cracks open.
The worlds collide.
An uncertain promise has the universe hold its breath.
Together, they bring upon annihilating oblivion
...Or perhaps, unprecedented bliss.

- Comment from author about the poem: Chances of love between two opposites are slim, not non-existent. The devil and the angel in this poem are the personification of good and evil. What if such contrasting beings fall in love? Meaning of the poem đ The devil is the amalgamation of everything evil known to mankind. He doesnât shy away from committing sins as long as his desires are fulfilled. The angel abandons the pure ambience that heaven offered to her. Her instinct prompts her to follow her heart, which lies in the devilâs hands. They both yearn for each other and combine, becoming one. Morality usually separates the two. This love shakes the universe to its very core. This union could either bring about the most chaotic end or the most magnificent beginning. âOpposites attractâ is one of my favourite tropes đ» This poem merely portrays it in an exaggerated manner. I hope it resonates with you and if it does, share it with your friends and loved ones
