IJE UWA (THIS LIFE!)

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke

Notice of absence from Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke
I will surely get back to you when I come online.

Darkness has visited
the land of Dorowa,
In a broad day light,
Teeths and lips
Are at war with each other.

What a world of nothingness!
Visitors we are,
One by one,
We take the exit route.

The news filters
From mouths to ears
Indeed, you have taken
a bow,
Accident the transitive vehicle.

At Sirjik Pharmacy,
Our last point of farewell
That was a month ago,
Who knows tomorrow?

In pain, I pen this tribute,
To a great hero like you
Whose medical wits,
Have saved many from death.

Ga' nko oma dike,
This is the road of all mortals
No one escapes it,
Good Night sir.
