In my way

A.B. Jakobs

I'm a dormant rock in shifting stream

A wilting tree in a forest so green

I do not fear hard work and toil

But fear working hard on fruitless soil

Do not call me lazy, for this I'm not

For I deeply yearn not to live for naught
