The Summons

Tony36

Damn this walk is long

Seems it is taking forever

I have been summons to the main office

The president of the university

Calling me to a meeting

Is there something wrong with my teaching method

Did a student complain about me

Am I about to lose my job

A thousand other questions fill my mind

As with each footfall I reach my fate

A the door finally

I knock

I am called inside

Here I go

The amount of times I have been called into the bosses office with no explanation.

Isn't it funny how a summons always seems to conjure up feelings of dread. Perhaps human nature to fear the worst. You've portrayed it very well, had me worried.

Nicely done. Tony. You capture the tension just perfectly.
