Static

PaperFlowerFields

Walk through these halls
See yourself
Repeat yourself
Reflections like mirrors
line the walls
in these halls
reflections lie
debunk them
but remember
who you are
were
could be

Don't lose
trace your steps
like ink
paper
flat as images seen
empty headed
mind if we join

pasts follow and trigger
more reflections and memories
burned into the wallpaper
written scripts of what you were
or are?
maybe

dancing images
and slouched over ones
happy and sad mingle
you never thought you would be this depressed
this stressed
this lost

you never thought you'd be this far down
winding through halls you only barely seem to know
ghosts of who you were
they think you are
images o reflections
twice removed visages
no longer recognized by you
surely you, of all people
know who you are?

throw everything you have
at the wall
through the static
and see what sticks
for who you are
for who you were
for who you become
so who are you
and who am i
and who are they

reflections are clearer
but still only  reflect
run

halls of mirrors distort you
into something your not
but who they see might be that
which one is you
are they all you
lost

see yourself
or see them
or are they you
or are you them
shadows and ghosts
pasts and futures
there's no now anymore
its over
gone
now its then
then is now
lost

no
you know who you are
you are you
but they all shout too
the same thing echoes
chambers empty
but so full
surrounded at al ends
versions of you
all claiming they're you

its all on the wall
and the floors
the ceiling
written
scrawled for all to see
what is this
what are you

broken shards
static and white noise
heat
bits of you spill everywhere
and its too late now
