Is it cool if the package is just left outside your door
Did you smile once you peeked inside to see what was in store
Was the message written in a language that you understand
Were emotions swirling in your head, while it was in your hand
It’s not about the money spent or time it took to make
Nor did I intend to gift a heart you knew that you could break
Don’t be nervous when you hold it, it can handle quite a beating
Although the way it looks, I know, can be a bit misleading
It’s the only one I have to give, so don’t throw it away
If it speaks to you, don’t be alarmed, it won’t lead you astray
You might notice sudden changes over time as it matures
It may leave you with a feeling, where you won’t be needing yours
So, no rush, but when you’re ready, follow what I did before
And I will graciously accept your package left outside my door
