GOD’S WORK
(Erotic humor)
For several days,
His wife was in pain.
She groaned and groaned,
“My head is killing me,”
“My chest is killing me,” she said.
She didn’t want to see a doctor,
And for several days,
She couldn’t lift her head from the bed.
One night, she had severe crises,
Murmuring all the while,
By morning she said,
“This is my last night.”
Immediately, I called
Emergency for help.
I removed her clothes
To dress her in others
So she’d look better.
As I looked at her,
A thought came to me,
To make love one last time,
Maybe she’d go
To the other world
More complete and more free.
As I began, she opened her eyes.
Outside, the ambulance driver
Arrived nonstop,
Honking the horn.
“Continue,” she started to say,
“It’s God’s work,
I’m feeling better.”
“Keep going, harder,”
She shouted without pause.
The horn blared
In the street…
“Hey, fool,” she said,
“Don’t let me die
With that cursed horn.”
“Finish this first,
Then call out the window,
And tell the driver
That the wife is better,
And the crises have passed.”
