A poem for my star

Hornedcrow

O’ star of mine, are you just a dream

Dream of mine please stay until the end

End all my nightmares as you illuminate

Illuminate the songs you sing

Sing ‘till your heart forgets the peace

Peace that brings stagnant maturity

O’ star of mine, are you staying

Staying by my side to grow

Grow the garden with flowers of love

Love that eats away at my flesh

Flesh that you eat until you are full

Full of me, it is relieving

O’ star of mine, do not forget

Forget your promise to shine

Shine as bright as the sun

Sun whose hands keep me warm

Warm from the other side

Side so dark and quite it stings

O’ star of mine, please do stay

Stay until the end of days

Days that God has intended ‘till our death

Death do us apart and distant

O’star of mine, please do forgive

Forgive my selfish desires.
