I have to wait

Maplespal

I have to wait

New seasons of your shows,

I don’t watch them so who knows.

The news doesn’t matter at all,

who cares if the sky is about to fall.

Our lives have changed to be mine.

Therapist tells me I am doing fine.

I feel as if it I am now just waiting,

for your voice, I am patiently anticipating,

to join you on the other darker side,

I just have to wait until I have died.

This was a fun read. It has a somewhat nihilistic or I don’t care approach which I like. Dialogue type form fits this well. Nicely done.
