The Last One forgiven; A Tribute to A Friend.

Godsgrace66

A product of the darkness held:

A victim of a dark sin.

A battle of forgiveness rages within.

In time we learn to cope,

For, things for which we see no hope,

Only a few will understand

That we tread on barren land.

Sometimes we learn to forgive,

In this world, we learn to live.

Sometimes pain is seen as love,

What you know becomes a glove.

We hurt the ones we love the most.

They become the very host

Of  the rage that lies within;

With that, a cycle does begin,

For in the darkness, they still abide.

It becomes a lifelong ride,

Though we forgive those around

For some forgiveness can’t be found.

The world opens wide

When we find the joy inside

And the darkness becomes light

And we give to God the fight.

We seek forgiveness for all,

In the wholeness, we feel small

But we fail to see, the one

the battle will never be won,

until we can forgive the hardest and the last

The one who knows all the past,

The one who holds the blame

For all the awful shame

That lies within the heart of pain.

We fail to see, what there is to gain

Until in life the hardest one to forgive

And rise above, and this life to live.

The hardest one to forgive is me.

We were not the guilty ones,

Just the ones who stood alone

For we understood the silent tone

But in the end, she found that freedom,

She forgave herself and now abides with him

She prayed for forgiveness

For harm she was witness

For what she caused when still so young,

From some, that forgiveness would never come,

But from God, it came when Jesus came

And took you by the hand and said,

Take my hand child your chores are done.

So now my friend through all we shared

I say farewell, for the battle is finally one.

As you abide now with him

In a world free from pain and sorrow.

Goodbye, my friend goodbye.
