The lion

Neilton

Who to tell

Who to trust

I breathe with no lungs

The searing tears

Pierced my face

she killed the pigeon

She put the knife in the wound

Rubbed it so deep and she bled

My breath

My lungs

Almost have given up

Can't hold alive

For so long

I had forgotten the cold

She killed the pigeon

Out of hatred and fury

All the lies of a love

So dear

Was a joke.

As she rubs it

The anger in her eyes

Fearsome and merciless

The vicious lion

Ready to disembowel

The defenceless prey

Descriptive, vivid, powerful are words that come to mind. Such a metaphor in the contrast of a lion to a pigeon. A pigeon like a dove brings peace to my mind. A pigeon the message carrier, was the messenger killed Great poem

Wow ! I'm truly grateful for your comment! It actually made me really happy! Thank you so so much!!
I feel the same way about the pigeon ! Also pigeon is the person that can be easily persuaded , it's the victim ! That's why it was very interesting to put it that way!
