Hanging Up on Closure

Charles Kick

I could fill a page with words on closure

Only to receive a little

Day by day the life I live finds closure

All night awake

Paling in comparison my closure

Balks at this repression

Fettered by the rules of closure

So sure

How could I deny I want some closure?

Trying and get nothing

Little bits of water drip on closure

Freezing up the flames

Black and sooty sits my little closure

Waiting now to thaw

Draw lines on my face with charcoal closure

Warpaint one last stand

Die upon this hill betrothed by closure

Not holding your hand

Spells have long since cast upon me closure

Magic real as fiction

Make believe I found some friend called closure

Talking me to sleep

Found but I won’t recognize this closure

Set in all my ways

Wishing better days and not for closure

Seems more realistic

Callouses work better than daft closure

Ones upon my heart

Bored of all this nonsense I call closure

Ready to move on
