Losing Myself

Cocamedo

Your thoughts are foul
Keep them at bay
Just bite your tongue,
Learn what to say

You see the outcome
Vicious cycles
Robbing you
The chance to smile

Designed to keep you
At your worst
For generations
You’ve been cursed

Innocence
Can’t be reclaimed
While unaware
Of who’s to blame

You search for answers
None are true
But still
They chip away at you
