The Mirror of a Rebel

Prasun Goswami

I've seen a rebel, he who says 'no'
In his eyes burns fire, on his lips silence grows
Not everyone can understand him
Not everyone can understand him
But, he knows—
Where the seed of freedom hides
In his blood mingles the song of dissent
Yours and mine, however we may live
He stands alone, like a broken mirror's sieve
What are you thinking, what are you thinking
Is he just stone, or a living protest?
Human he is, don't you see? It's humans who cry in unrest.
