SHE SAYS

Qurrat Al Ain

Notice of absence from Qurrat Al Ain
I'm taking a break for a while, for no specific reason. Maybe because, I don't get as much inspirations as I used to.

She says,

Very often,

She too felt like,

Even those people who should,

Know her by heart,

Know her blind like a braille,

Know her before she could utter a word,

Doesn't know her at all,

Doesn't know who she really is.

But she yearns for that,

She needs someone to understand her,

Truly, really, carefully, free of judgement,

Even when she herself,

Can't understand her wholly.

A common need is for someone to understand us better than we do ourselves but at the same time it is a hidden fear for someone to know us that well is to give too much power to another and how can we trust another more than we trust ourselves?

    • Qurrat Al Ain

How can we expect others to trust or value us when we don't trust or value our own self? Everything must start from within. Thank you for stopping by.
