Meat Brain

jeffburton1

I have a brain that's made of meat
And I know that you do too,
And from this mound of flesh and blood
Comes all we say and do,
Our thoughts and all our feelings,
Our laughter and our rage,
And even now, how you read
The words upon this page,
Animals have them too
Beneath their furry hide
And so it seems a little odd
To serve them lightly fried
