Forgiveness

E Naughton

Will you hold the hateful hurricane in hand,

Or relentless rains responsible for rising waters,

Worry the wolf with wasted words while chasing pain,

Blame the bellowing branch as it falls on the undeserving child, crushing cries forever left screaming,

Savour the songs of birds and bees as they send signals signs of ease,

Do you think you the wolf the bird or the tree?

Do you place blame as branches fall free?
