Bloody sunset

FrasMac

Bloody sunset

Did anybody see the bloody

sunset on her hair?

It shone like polished rubies

on a bed of gold

I swear

an eagle paid her homage

while the angels formed

a college

to be taught by

her how easily such glory

can be carried.

Since that day when we were married:

I see her glory mirrored

in mirages

as they shimmer

on a pool of golden sunset

where I prowl like her pet lion

on the sands of time,

hunting, pacing,

trying to stay agile:

but the trouble is

the bloody sorry

sands of time

are fragile

…….….

……

..
