Distraction
Some thing I would like a second opinion
Quiet all the notions on my mind
But at what cost if, once distraction over,
All the stinky tendrils creep back in
Cacophany
Anger hate and all aghast injustice
How humanity does prove to fail as a mass
What could bate these ruminations
Failure of nations all against the individual
Locker
Lock it up another round of angst
Lose the combination trust the consternation
Put perpetual pause on love
Wick the moisture from those sleepless eyes
Dark
Light it up, one lumen at a time
Shadows slowly fade light of a hundred candles
Thrust into oblivion thrilling absolution
One small window, leaving wispy smoke
Conclusion
Tug-of-war in hating or forgiving self
Put what fits back on the shelf
Let the time do the work
Patience proves as one potential ally
