A planet to share

Maplespal

The species on this lonely planet,

are not all from this vast place.

This place is not all made with granite,

but everything did come from space.

This place was not always around,

not always so large and defined.

At one point emptiness with no sound,

now with species such as humankind.

Yet not all species are from this earth,

some hide amongst us with great ease.

If known humans would give them no worth,

they would consider them a disease.

This lonely planet is not ours to claim.

This planet is the universes to share.

We humans destroy it without any shame,

and most of them don’t even care.

The smartest species turned out to be weak,

their destruction can happen as fast as a wink.

This place, this planet so vastly unique,

used and abused by the ones that think.
