The Perfect Love

mtrotter1

Utterly catastrophic

Is the love that continues to bring

A chaos from within,

This damaging building

That is my heart

Rears its ugly head in ruins

Behold this man once again!

This broken man of change,

I have loved him more than I loved myself

So long ago;

Why does it have to be me

That causes this obsession?

Still he lives inside my brain

And he captures the vulnerability inside

For the perfect love never crossed my mind

Until now...

And you are standing there

With no T-shirt on,

Your pretty brown skin

Reminds me of summer,

And I want to walk right in

And blow your heart away...

I want to impress you with my poetic tongue

Such language speaks to me in sorrow!

Oh heaven's red rose lingers in the dirt

This catastrophic love!

Behold the red devil's nectar

So sweet and innocent in the air

And I wonder where you've been

All these years,

You are so black and beautiful

In the skin of a man...

For you are a real man!

Trapped in your own prison

Yet so strong in the devil's playground

I salute you in all your endeavors

For it is Dominique Caesar once again...

The man I brutally made love to

The man with passionate hands,

The man that made me squeal with delight

The man who could've been the perfect love!

There is no recapturing the scene now

For what is done is done,

I can only remember the good times

I can only remember when...

Such curiosity kills the cat

And the cat is black,

And its eyes are your eyes alone;

The perfect love is an imperfect state

I freeze in love alone.
