My Dark Skin

Allandra

In the depths of my melanin, a ray of sunshine glows, Bearing witness to the beauty and strength only it knows.

I am woven from the fabric of African culture.

Resilient, proud, an unbreakable structure.

In this world tainted by corruption and darkness.

My blackness stands tall, defying all starkness.

I carry the anger of generations wronged.

But within me, a bravery that's grown strong.

My journey through life is a battle fought.

Fighting for love and freedom, never to be bought.

For in every failure lies a lesson I've learned.

A stepping stone towards the greatness I yearned.

So let my voice echo like thunder in the night.

A fearless warrior armed with truth and light.

For my blackness is a symbol of courage and might.

Melanin shining bright, an eternal guiding light.
