One day I heard, "What a moonlit face,"
I said, "This runs deep, not just grace."
Yes the moon shines but you'll turn away
How long will its light really stay?
The face I’ve seen makes the moon glow
Stars fall for the gaze, don't you know?
That moon may drift, lost in the starry skies
But who brings their sparkle, who makes them rise?
What can I say of those eyes so bright
They speak so much and yet so slight
Why speak of their delicate charm, so true?
Let’s show the moon it's nothing new.

- Comment from author about the poem: This is an english translation of poem "chalo chand ko neecha dikhae". It's about a person so beautiful, so bright, so perfect... I loved her very much (still do) And when she was by my side, I penned down what I thought of her beauty (still do) ...
