Pain demands to be felt

Charlotte3

For many of us our generational curse is avoidance,

Devotional cycles of misleading guidance to maintain silence.

We are taught to muzzle, contain, hide, and suppress,

So that we can present ourselves to impress and tuck away the mess.

But each of us are charged with the gift of feeling,

Pain demands to be felt to trigger the process of healing.

You call them acts of mental health, and label their powers,

Depression, anxiety, and disorders that devour.

My God calls it a lie spoken by the enemy to distract you,

And that there is a way out of the pain that you cling to.

When you reject your own refusal and allow yourself to feel,

He can renew your mind and soul, and break the generational wheel.
