I was Born with Two Great Dreams

dharmendrarc

21 September is the day I opened my eyes

On this beautiful earth in the lamp light

In the hours of silent dark midnight.

I made my beautiful playground

In the laps of so many kith and kin

Spent my months in that havin.

One day my pops and mom

Took me to the nearby kids school

With teary eyes, I dragged my feet

Half-heartedly I sat on the stool

I opened the first page of my first book.

I got enrolled in University,

With two great dreams of life

To become a great poet of the time

And bring my dream fairy into my real life

But it seemed a race against time.

I abandoned my only great dreams

Limited myself in the dark world

With no dreams, no hope beams.

One day I was crying in the midnight,

My dream fairy was sitting on my right

She wiped my tears with her warm-soft hands

Whispered into my ears,’ I am thy all births’ mate.

Now, I will not leave thou for even a moment

Come with me to live with me in fairyland

Our union will place thou into the poet of land.
