Sin comes through you not at you.

Charlotte3

Satan will never face you and demand that you worship him,

He will say worship yourself, but this is where the trouble begins.

He pours into you his thoughts, desires, lusts and emotions,

And before you know it your inadvertent worship is in full motion.

“Trust in the Lord and lean not on your own understanding”

For Satan’s infiltrated perceptions are over demanding.

“The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick”

For Satan tells you, you are fine without God as his biggest trick.

“Have no confidence in the flesh”, for “the mind set on the flesh is death”.

If Satans primary goal is to cause a divide between you and God,

How do you think he wedges himself in without you realising you're at odds?

Does he install pride and fuel you inside with self-sufficiency,

So you push dependency on God aside, resulting in spiritual deficiency.

Does he sow doubt into your mind of who you know God to be,

So that you abandon your faith and question his love, justice and authority.

Does he divide communities, churches and faith with doctrine issues,

Or does he separate society and unity through political agendas and views.

Does he make sin attractive in such a way people rationalise and justify,

Or does He teach morality to be subjective, our version of wrong or right.

Does he distract us with entertainment, so we are too busy and have no time,

Scrolling phones, worldly pleasures, till rejecting God’s standards suits your lifestyle.

Does he exploit fear and anxiety, immersing you in a spiral of negative feelings,

Driving your trust to depart from God, so your bible or prayer sounds unappealing.

Does he undermine the truth of scripture claiming it to be outdated,

Diminishing the role it has on shaping the lives God has created.

Does he create false teachings that are near to the truth but still lead you astray,

Isolating individuals and cheering on loneliness so that they lose their way.

The reality is sin comes through you not at you,

So stop trusting in the world and yourself to get you through.

Trust in the Lord and evil will depart,

From your soul, mind, body and heart.
