Pain’s interlude

domilla

Embrace pains piercing sting,
That echo of emptiness, that interlude.
The pause between smiles and nonchalance,
It is there to make life balance

Crying is a  waste of time,
Don’t go grabbing that bottle of wine,
people change all it takes is a stimulus.
a spark to light up what went dim due to time,
a moment of weakness, a shift in focus.

all it would have taken was to hear the lie within the lies.
In “remember that thing, it didn’t mean anything,
That anything was something,
Calling it out for what it looks like is not overreacting.

stand your ground, grow a spine,
the feet you watched walk all over you,
use yours and let him watch you walk away,
do not choose to listen now, if he asks you to stay.

He disguised his love in lies.
Love could not hold within those lies.
In that cracked cistern that he designed.
His unsatisfaction is not your imperfection, theres plenty of fish, quite a selection.

Fight for what you know you deserve.
Heartbreak can wreck nerves.
Get up, chase that  rainbow,
Do not be the person that says so;
Let the tears fall,
Let me be, this is how I cope.
