Positivity

rebellion_in_sanity

Are you of a positive set of mind
Asked the man who was wise
I stuttered and stumbled,
Been asking many questions
Did it show a negative trait of my mind?

I did raise my voice
I said what I felt was right
I didn't care if the timing was wrong
I always spoke my mind

I called on God to seek his advice
My mind was thirsting for the path to Light
The phone kept ringing on the other end
Profound silence emanated from HIS side

I live within a shroud of confusion
What is "positivity"?
Does it arrive after a few drags on the opium pipe,
Feel like living in an imaginary city?

Night arrives carrying the answer
Whispers in my dreams
"It is to see things as they are
It is to admit the mistakes you made
Positivity hides in your attempt,
Often futile and abortive,
In making things better than they were
So a better life your children can live"
