People tell me my luck is kind,
I've found someone who makes me smile,
Now where can trouble be?
With a hand to hold, I've got company.
Now life's struggles won't wear me thin,
When bruised and battered, there’s balm within.
Indeed, my fortune’s bright and true,
When I stumble; I find you.
Every promise you keep with care,
In my worst moments, you're always there.
When the world says no, you hold me tight,
When pain strikes, you shield me with might.
And when someone brings me tears,
You cry with me, bringing me cheers.
But let me take you down a road unknown,
Where shadows hide, and the wind’s not shown.
Yes, where flowers don't bloom,
Where streets aren’t paved, just dust and gloom.
Where no raindrops fall, yet storms rage high,
Where no clear path, no destination in sight.
I’m smiling, but tired deep inside,
I need someone to understand this ride.
With a broken heart, I move ahead slow,
Just take what's left, and let it go.

- Comment from author about the poem: This is an english translation of "Uljhe Halat", I have tried to keep the emotions as close as possible. Being unaware of things is truely scary, you will always fear what's next to come. I was at this place, though everything seemed perfect and complete there was always something nudging at me, something felt wrong and as time passed the wrong piled up to raze me to the grounds... In conclusion someone took a part (big one) and left me hollow (connect with the last line)...
