You allow, why?

Maplespal

A million times I’ve looked into your eyes.

A hundred times I’ve heard many of your lies,

each time a part of my heart lays down and dies,

while my trust in you breaks down and cries.

Thousands of times dreams of us under blue skies,

the visions so vividly colored, until my pupils dry.

The way you are timid and selectively shy,

you’re the beauty, the love on which I rely.

Our love is always unnoticeably passionately sly.

I could never forget you my love, if I was to try,

my mind would take over and firmly deny,

and my self-worth would not stop to even comply.

All the times I’ve held you tightly close by,

in dreams and thoughts silently asking why,

every time I come back from a hurtful goodbye,

you allow me into your loves supply.
