Despair

Michael William Reid

Despair my old friend

You always win in the end

I try to fight you put a smile on my face

But I am always trapped in your embrace

My old enemy we have fought and I have won

But this time I don't know maybe I am done

I will keep moving forward fighting through

But I don't even know if I am true

My confusion has reached its peak

And now I need to find the life I seek

I will stand or I will fall

And you will stand behind it all
